Officers responded to the 600 block of Canal Alley at 11:30 a.m.
Thursday when someone reported a 24-year-old male jumping on
vehicles. The officers arrived they found the suspect damaging the
vehicles. When contacted, the officers could smell the alcohol on
his breath. The suspect was taken into custody and when searched
officers found prescription drugs that weren’t his in his
possession.
Possession, Canal Alley
Officers responded to the 600 block of Canal Alley at 11:30 a.m. Thursday when someone reported a 24-year-old male jumping on vehicles. The officers arrived they found the suspect damaging the vehicles. When contacted, the officers could smell the alcohol on his breath. The suspect was taken into custody and when searched officers found prescription drugs that weren’t his in his possession.
Attempted robbery, San Juan Road
Just after 8:45 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a report of a group of people attacking someone walking on the 1200 block of San Juan Road. The person was walking out of a restaurant when a black four-door Sedan pulled up. A described 15-year-old girl walked out and threatened to scream if the person didn’t give her money. When he refused the suspect attacked him with a pair of pliers. After dodging the pliers a described 13-year-old male walked out of the car and attempted to punch the man, who ran away. The girl is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 100 pounds. The male was described as 13 with a baggy white shirt that was covered by a blue basketball jersey. Police have no suspects.
Force, East Street
Before 3 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the 800 block of East Street after a report of a man bleeding from the face. When officers arrived they found a man whose mouth was full of blood. The man reported that someone or something hit him in the face but he didn’t know who or what did it. The man was rushed to the hospital and is recovering. Police looked for signs of a fight but they have no suspect information.
Disorderly Conduct, East Street
Officers responded to a report of a drunken man sleeping next to a Dumpster at 4:30 p.m. Friday in the first block of East Street. When officers arrived they found the man sleeping face first into pavement. Officers could smell the alcohol on him and when they turned him over he had urinated on himself. The police took him into custody.
Theft, McCray Street
Police reported Sunday a series of thefts from the Savemart on McCray Street that have taken place from July 11 to July 31. A man in his 50s has been stealing food and whipped cream from the store. Officers are still investigating and are watching surveillance cameras to identify the man.
