Reckless driving, Santa Ana Road

A 37-year-old Hollister resident was arrested Wednesday after he was observed driving recklessly on Santa Ana Road. A live shotgun round was found in plain sight in his vehicle, and a records check found that he was a convicted felon not allowed to possess guns or ammunition. Police also found that the suspect had warrant for his arrest.

Check fraud, San Benito Street

A 40-year-old Hollister resident was arrested in the 700 block of San Benito at 4:20 PM on Tuesday after attempting to cash a forged check.

CRIMINAL REPORTS

Theft of utility services, Monte Carlo Drive

Police report that a 30-year-old Hollister resident on Monte Carlo Drive had an illegal cable TV hookup from May 2005 until Oct. 14.

Vandalism, Sally Street

Police took a report from a resident of the 100 block of Sally Street who was awakened at midnight to find her vehicle window had been smashed by a rock.
