Burglaries

A 16-year-old male was arrested Tuesday after police say he was caught stealing copper pipes from a house in the 600 block of Line Street. According to police spokeswoman Rosie Betanio, the juvenile broke into the home, stole the pipes, then was found later with several copper pipes in his vehicle. The boy was booked into San Benito County Juvenile Hall.

A burglary was reported to have occurred sometime between Monday and Tuesday in the 100 block of Miller Road. Police say an unknown suspect broke into an unoccupied home and tore out insulation and spray painted graffiti on the walls. No arrests have been made, and police currently have no suspects.

Assault

A 51-year-old Hollister man was arrested Tuesday after police say he punched a 51-year-old man outside of Taco Bell on San Felipe Road. No serious injuries were reported, and the man was booked into San Benito County Jail.

Vehicle theft

A big rig truck and trailer were reported stolen from Bert Drive near Marich Confectionery sometime between June 17 and June 18. Police did not have information regarding the truck’s make or model.
