Just after 10:30 a.m. Monday police responded to shots fired
near the 1000 block of West Street. When police arrived they
discovered there was no shots fired; instead, a person broke into a
home, breaking down its door.
Burglary, West Street
Just after 10:30 a.m. Monday police responded to shots fired near the 1000 block of West Street. When police arrived they discovered there was no shots fired; instead, a person broke into a home, breaking down its door. The homeowner was inside at the time and chased the suspect out of the house and down the street. The homeowner was unable to catch the man and the police have no suspects as this time.
Contempt of court, Sally Street
At around 6:45 p.m. Monday in the first block of Sally Street, police responded when a female suspect was disobeying a restraining order. When police arrived the female was sitting on the front porch. Police took her into custody.
Vandalism, Valley View Road
At 6:30 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 2200 block of Valley View Road after a woman broke a window and forced herself into a home with the residents inside. The residents called the police and evacuated the home. The woman broke in and locked herself in a bedroom. When police arrived they forced their way into the bedroom and arrested the woman. The residents did not know the woman, and the woman said she was waiting for her boyfriend.
Petty Theft, Walnut Lane
At 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of Walnut Lane, police reported a theft of a licensee plate. The vehicle owner noticed his front license plate was missing and called the police. There are no suspects.
Burglary, Verona Place
Police reported that a vehicle was broken into between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Verona Place. The vehicle’s rear-passenger window was smashed and a briefcase was taken. Inside the briefcase was business paperwork. There are no suspects at this time.
Vandalism, Hillcrest Road
Between 4 p.m. on April 16 and 6 a.m. on April 19 that three windows were broken at a business on the 400 block of Hillcrest Road. The business owner complained that three windows were damaged and ruined a wall as a result. There are no suspects at this time.
Minor in possession of alcohol, Miller Road
A little after 9 p.m. near the intersection of Miller Road and Central Avenue, police pulled over a vehicle while on patrol and discovered an open bottle of alcohol with a passenger. The car driver was on parole, and on a check of the vehicle, the officers discovered a passenger holding the bottle. Officers cited the minor and handed her over to her parents.
