ARRESTS
Robbery, Meridian Street
Police reports indicate that a male juvenile was arrested at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of Meridian Street after he pushed another juvenile off his bicycle and rode away with it. The suspect was located and taken into custody by Hollister police officers.
Drunk in public, Hazel Street
Police responded to an unspecified situation requiring investigation in the 100 block of Hazel street when an inebriated 30-year-old Hollister resident began interfering with the investigation. The individual refused to leave the scene, and police officers placed him under arrest at 12:37 a.m. as a result. According to police reports, the suspect attempted to kick the rear window out of the police car. He was booked into the county jail.
Possession of a deadly weapon, Memorial Drive and Sunnyslope Road
While on patrol last Thursday at 10:18 a.m., police officers observed a male juvenile who appeared to be truant. They verified his truancy and planned on transporting him to school. A search of the juvenile before he was placed in the police vehicle revealed a gravity knife. A gravity knife is a knife that has been altered, or was made, so that “it can be opened with a flick of the wrist,” said Capt. Bob Brooks of HPD.
CRIMINAL REPORTS
Burglary, Rancho Drive
Between 11:00 p.m. Wednesday and 7:20 a.m. Thursday in the 1200 block of Rancho Drive, the window of a vehicle was smashed, and the auto was burglarized. A radio, a hydraulic switch-box and a dual DVD multimedia receiver were reported stolen.
