Volunteers help to prepare the food on Thanksgiving in 2013.

The Holte Holiday Dinners organization is set to host another Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner for those in need.
The dinners are set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thanksgiving and Christmas at the Sacred Heart gym.
For those who wish to volunteer, there are opportunities for preparation the nights before starting at 5 p.m. and then on the day of the dinners starting at 7 a.m.
People can donate through the Community Foundation for San Benito County or they can take their turkeys to the Community Food Bank of San Benito County, though organizers advised bringing them in at least a week before the dinners to allow for thawing. Otherwise donations can go to Marley Holte Holiday Dinners at P.O. Box 344, San Juan Bautista 95044.
The late Marley Holte and his wife at the time founded the annual Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners in the mid-1980s. Those dinners have continued on today despite Holte’s passing in 2006.
