City crews responded rapidly to a resident’s complaint made through the weekly Public Works feature two weeks ago by cutting down some potentially dangerous weeds that had been overgrown at a median along San Felipe Road.

Streets official Marcelo Orta reported back to the Pinnacle that the crews had the weeds cut down within days of their notification. A resident had passed on her concern about the extreme growth at the median at Flynn Road because it inhibited the view of drivers there. Delaying a quicker response had been an issue with the machine used to cut weeds on medians. It had been in the repair shop needing a fix, Orta had told the newspaper.

But last week, the median was clear of weeds, and the public works crews had taken care of the problem.
