After Hollister public works crews recently filled a slew of potholes on Browns Alley, another resident called the Red Phone concerned about conditions on Wentz Alley.
Although the roadway doesn’t look too hideous compared with other shoddy alleys and streets in the city, the public works streets crews were planning to check out the alley and see if it needs some repairs, said public works official Julian Gaytan.
He mentioned that the city addressed potholes in Wentz Alley last year. “It’s just definitely another thing where we’ve got to keep on it,” he said, adding the city is low on manpower.
There is no official alley program, he said. “Whenever we can we’ll go out there and try to clean them up.”
