sighting of lighting in the area.
The football game Friday night between San Benito High School and Willow Glen was delayed for 30 minutes due to a reported sighting of lighting in the area.
The delay was announced about five minutes into halftime of the game with a 7:30 p.m. start time. There was slight sprinkling at times during the game but no other reported lightning sightings.
Both teams had to take some extra time to warm-up after the extended halftime before the game resumed. The contest ended after 11 p.m.
