Hollister Police are looking for a runaway who’s been missing since Monday, Dec. 22.
Hollister resident Lindsay “Nicole” Guilford, 16, ran away from home after her and her mother got into an argument about her smoking marijuana, said Hollister Police Detective Tony Lamonica.
Her mother, Lorie Guilford, said some of her friends have called her and told her that they have seen her daughter around town, but her mother has been unable to find her, Lamonica said.
Lorie has contacted some of Lindsay’s friends, and although they told her they don’t know where she is, she believes they are lying to her, Lamonica said.
“If you’re harboring this girl, let us know,” Lamonica said, “because you can be held accountable and be arrested for harboring a runaway.”
There are no suspicions that Lindsay has been abducted, but Lamonica believes she’s in town and her friends are hiding her, he said.
The police found that Lindsay was communicating with people in town via the Internet and Yahoo chat groups, he said.
“We had a computer analyst go over to her house and retrieve all the information off the computer,” he said. “Her mom is going to get the information from Yahoo to give to (us),” Lamonica said.
If anyone has information concerning the whereabouts of Lindsay Guilford, please contact Detective Tony Lamonica at (831) 638-4115.
