No. 3 seeded Chris Uribe (130) and Octavio Lucatero (140) both won their individual matches, and Anthony Sunseri (135) and No. 3 seeded Alex Diaz (145) finished second in their brackets.
Ryan Dunn finished third at 189, going into overtime in the third and fourth matches. Nick Carpenter and Tito Flores finished fourth in the 152 and heavyweight brackets respectively.
Kyle Horn (171) and Chris Mora (119) took seventh. Freshman Bob Glashan finished with a 1-2 record in the 112-pound class.
Alejo Valasquez, who was still bothered by an elbow injury, sat out during the tournament to rest.
He may sit out again when the Balers face Palma on Tuesday, said Baler coach Matt Olejnik.
“It is a little scary because I haven’t seen Palma this year or heard how they are doing,” Olejnik said. “We have to wait to weigh-ins to see what they have and maybe make some changed from there. They are always a formable opponent.”
