San Benito High School food service attendant Nancy Polizzi, who recently testified about her unknowing role in a 2004 murder, is still on administrative leave while under investigation.

Superintendent Stan Rose said he isn’t allowed to comment because of legal reasons, but he added that he still stands by his comments made to the Free Lance earlier this month.

“All I can say is we are still conducting our investigation,” Rose had told the newspaper. “We obviously want to get this matter taken care of as soon as possible.”

Polizzi was in a vehicle with Francisco Vega and Joshua Joseph in Fresno when they bought a gun – she had given them the money, though she contends she had no idea it was for the weapon – which was used to kill David Owens.
