Corey graduated from Ann Sobrato High School in 2007. After graduating high school, Corey chose to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. In addition to commissioning, he received a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical science.

The Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Unit at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is one of the largest units in the nation with approximately 150 midshipmen and produces many Navy and Marine Corps officers every year.
