Cristina Elise Sanidad and Emmanuel Gallardo were married May 24, 2014 at Saint Matthew’s Catholic Church in Phoenix, Ariz.
Cristina, daughter of Dan and Mary Ann Sanidad of Morgan Hill, received a bachelor’s degree in sociology and ethnic studies from Santa Clara University and a master’s degree in social justice and human rights from Arizona State University. She is a senior paralegal with Lubin and Enoch Law Firm in Phoenix
Emmanuel, son of Efren and Francisca Gallardo of Phoenix, received a bachelor’s degree in education/Spanish and English as a second language from Arizona State University. He is a union organizer for CASE in Phoenix.

Amanda Diaz graduated May 17, 2014 from Dominican University in San Rafael with a bachelor’s degree in humanities and cultural studies, with a concentration in communications and a minor in leadership studies. She graduated with departmental honors and magna cum laude and plans to attend Columbia University next fall.
Amanda attended Jackson Elementary in Morgan Hill and Monte Vista High School in Watsonville.
Marcus Ventimiglia
The U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) invited Marcus Ventimiglia, a student at San Benito High School, to attend the Naval Academy Summer Seminar program. Summer Seminar is a leadership experience for rising seniors in high school. This program helps educate, motivate and prepare selected students who are considering applying for admission to USNA.
Summer Seminar teaches prospective applicants about life at the Naval Academy, where academics, athletics and professional training are key elements in developing our nation’s leaders.
