Four or five people targeted an El Cerro Drive home with gunfire Thursday night, firing nine shots, four of which hit the residence, the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The shooting occurred at about 10:15 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of El Cerro Drive in Hollister, sheriff’s Detective Doug Dahmen said Friday.

Dahmen said the office suspects four or five people walked up to the home and began shooting.

The detective said Friday the investigation into the shooting was ongoing.

“We have some evidence on the suspects that we’re following up on at this point,” Dahmen said.

No one was injured in the shooting, Dahmen said.
