The Balers improved to 2-0 in the young season on Tuesday with a 2-1 over Leigh in San Jose.

Trailing 1-0 after the first half, the Balers struck for two second half goals to pull away with the win. Chace Miguel and Kristen Callanta each scored for the Balers.

“Defensively the team did well working together,” head coach Becky Bonner said. “We have two offensive players who transitioned into defense this year, Karly Leon and Serena Adame, and they bring the speed and offensive knowledge to create a balanced back line. The girls are working hard everyday in practice and preseason games to get ready for season.”
