It’s time to start praying for rain
It’s getting to be that time again where I’m going to start
whining for the rain. It’s been almost three weeks now since we had
that last good soaker and we’re already in need of another one!
What is going on with our weather? This week is supposed to be cold
with only a few showers and maybe even snow. Yikes, we need some
rain, not snow! Come on rain, we need you back!

It’s getting to be that time again where I’m going to start whining for the rain. It’s been almost three weeks now since we had that last good soaker and we’re already in need of another one! Many birthday wishes go out this week to friends and family. Little Kate Brewen celebrated a birthday on Jan. 12. Todd Sans Jr. officially became a teenager on Jan. 18. Sami Jo Johnsen celebrated her birthday on Jan. 20. Happy Birthday to everyone!

John Wooster branded some calves last Friday at the Crown W Ranch in King City. Some of those helping out included Kenny, Colleen and Casey Sabin, John and J.W. Brewen, John Nino, Mike Cooper and Todd and I. Arvid Myhre barbecued a delicious lunch after the branding and Lou Harbin stopped by to enjoy lunch with everyone.

Nessen Schmidt branded a few calves last Sunday at his place. Some of those helping out there included Nessen Schmidt Jr. and his girlfriend Jessica, Sarah Schmidt and Rocky Villanueva, Mike and Brandi Garza, Vern and Jo Ann Scattini, Val Bassetti, Bill Barbree, the Sans Family, Taylor Jo Hurley, The Johnsen Family, Luke and Amy Villanueva, Lynette Hurley and the Sans Family. Lino Mornini barbecued a great lunch after and Margaret Avila and Tim and Kate Hearne stopped by to enjoy lunch with everyone as well.

The Bitterwater Badgers teams played in two tough games last week against San Antonio (Lockwood) and Soledad’s Main Street Middle School. Each of the teams played tough but were not able to end up with a win. This week they will play in Greenfield and again against San Antonio. Let’s go Badgers!

The King City High Lady Broncos are still on a roll as they are still undefeated in league play. Last week the girls rolled over both Greenfield High and Stevenson in Pebble Beach. Congratulations to Beth Carroll on scoring a team high of 25 points against Greenfield. Way to go Beth and keep it up Broncos. Mattie Barrington has been on fire with the Lady Mustangs the last few games as well. Keep it up King City!

Only two weeks left until Super bowl Sunday. Since Bret Favre was unable to pull off the win last Sunday, it just makes it easier for me to root on Tom Brady and the Patriots. It makes it even easier since Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin of the Giants aren’t on the top of my list as favorites either! Go Patriots!

Have a great week, try to stay warm and please PRAY FOR RAIN! If you have any news you’d like to share, be sure to give me a call or e-mail me at we********@ao*.com.
