Brandings under way in South County
Greetings South County from the Santa Clara Valley Medical
Center in San Jose, where I am staying for the next several days
with Brody who is recovering from an accident. A huge thank you
goes out to Billy Aviles for his awesome driving skills on the way
he got us to the hospital so quickly on Monday night. Billy has
been wonderful to Brody and the family
– thanks Billy and Dana, your so much appreciated!
Thank you so much to everyone who has called, texted, e-mailed,
facebooked, etc. to check up on him. He is doing well and we hope
to be home by this weekend.

Besides everything going on with Brody, I did manage to hear of a little news going on in South County while we were away.
Lots of brandings have been taking place during this beautiful stretch of weather. The Topo Ranch branded some calves last Friday at the Red Corrals while John Wooster branded a set of calves at the Crown W Ranch. The Topo crew branded again at the Red Corrals on Wednesday while John Bourdet branded that day as well. John Wooster branded again today while Bill and Robin Rist planned to brand on Saturday.
Good luck goes out to Brendon Clark as he travels down to Anaheim this weekend for another PBR Bull Riding event. He and Allie have had a houseful of guests this week as many of his PBR buddies stayed with them in between the Sacramento and Anaheim events. He and his group of buddies that included McKennon Wemberly, Sean Willingham, Luke Snyder and the prettiest stock contractor around, Mesa Pate, all took some time out of their busy schedules to come spend some time with Brody at the hospital last week. Best of luck to all the guys competing this weekend in Anaheim, we’ll be watching on TV guys!
The San Benito County Cattlewomen’s Association will be hosting their annual Pedro Party on Friday, Feb. 18 at the Tres Pinos Hall in Tres Pinos. The event begins at 6 p.m. and promises to be lots of fun.
Have a great week, enjoy the weather and give me a call or email me with any news you’d like to share.
