It’s pretty quiet in King City
There sure hasn’t been a whole lot of news in South County
lately. Buck season is keeping folks busy; a few folks have gotten
some but so far no stories of anything outstanding.

Schools and sports are getting ready to start. Jefferson School starts this week, while Bitterwater Tully School begins the following week. Chalone Peaks Middle School starts this week while King City High School starts next week as well. It sure doesn’t make sense to me that some schools start in the middle of or the later part of a week. Why not just start on Mondays? High School sports begin soon too. The King City High Volleyball teams will have their first games on Aug. 26.
Congratulations to Bitterwater Tully graduate Jeanine Madson who recently participated in the King City Stagehands Production of “Mame.” Jeanine was part of the singing group and she sang quite a few songs. If you missed the play last weekend, you can catch it again this weekend at the Robert Stanton Theater at the King City High School.
Cynnie O’Connor reported that David O’Connor got a nice buck on opening weekend, and Hec Hurley did as well. If you’ve got one you’d like to brag on, be sure to give me a call.
Have a great week, and be sure to give me a call or e-mail me at

with any news you’d like to share.
