Only Seaside had a worse mark in the Gabilan. A rash of injuries and other issues exacerbated San Benito’s problems, making for a long season.

San Benito High junior Brad Sparrer finished fourth in the Junior Tour Northern California Golf Player of the Year standings to earn a berth in the annual Frys.com Open Pro-Junior event, which is held a week before the 2015-16 season-opening PGA Tour event at Silverado’s North Course in Napa.
