Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 17-year-old Ridgemark boy on suspicion of burglarizing a 53-inch Sony flat-screen television from the golf course’s clubhouse.

Detective Doug Dahmen said authorities made the arrest Feb. 8. Dahmen said anonymous tips led to the arrest.

Deputies found the suspected stolen item – which had been donated – in a house within Hollister city limits, Dahmen said. It was reported missing from the bar area in the clubhouse.

The Ridgemark community has experienced increased vandalism and suspected break-ins within recent months.

Three 14-year-old Ridgemark boys were arrested on suspicion of vandalism that caused more than $100,000 to a business in the gated community.

San Benito County Sheriff Curtis Hill has said there will be no tolerance for burglary and vandalism at Ridgemark. The sheriff said his office will step up patrol and investigation of suspected crimes there. And there could be more arrests.

“We’re working on other leads,” Dahmen said.
