As far as teaching intelligent design, I think the matter should be taught, debated and analyzed along with any other theory in its proper forum. But to teach intelligent design in a science class is tantamount to teaching veterinary science in history class; it’s interesting but has nothing to do with the class.
Intelligent design requires faith, science does not. Intelligent design must incorporate everything from a deity to planet sprinkling by aliens, science must follow the laws of nature.
Teach intelligent design, by all means, in its proper forum, not in science class.
