Members of Troop 408, Den 6 visited the Weekend Pinnacle April 24. The boys brought along a handful of parents and siblings for the meeting. The boys, who attend Sacred Heart, answered questions about what they knew about newspapers.

“They tell you when someone does something bad,” when boy said after he raised his hand.

Another said, “They tell you when people do something good.”

They all agreed that newspapers tell people what is going on in the community.

The boys were inquisitive during their visit, and asked about how newspapers are printed. They also asked what the “talking” was in the room, in regards to a police scanner that is always on in the newsroom.

Touring a local paper is one of the requirements for the Tiger Cubs to move on to the next level of Scouts.
