The first one was a magnitude-2.9 earthquake on Sunday at 7:20 a.m. The epicenter was outside of Hollister along Shore Road between Lovers Lane and Lake Road, according to the USGS and Google Maps.

The second earthquake was recorded at magnitude-3.1, and it was at nearly the same exact location, according to the USGS website. It was at 12:23 a.m. today.

The smaller quake was at a depth of 3.7 miles, while the second one was at a depth of 4.2 miles, according to the USGS.
