Hollister police allege that the two are responsible for at
least three recent residential burglaries. The district attorney’s
office Friday followed up by charging each suspect with felony
counts of robbery, along with a count of receiving or concealing
stolen property. Police, meanwhile, are continuing the
investigation to determine whether the pair might be linked to more
local burglaries.

The Hollister Police Department this week arrested two suspects they allege were involved in multiple residential burglaries, according to a press statement.
At 11:29 a.m. Wednesday, Officer Rudy Rodriguez stopped a vehicle matching the description of an automobile that had been used in a number of home burglaries, the report stated. The driver, Marcos Aguirres, 30, was found to be unlicensed and was placed under arrest. According to the release, a search of the vehicle revealed a credit card stolen during a Nov. 25 burglary on Gabilan Drive.
Police investigated further and learned that the suspect is an associate of Dacia Perez, 28, who resides on San Lorenzo Drive.
San Benito County probation officers and Hollister police searched that resident’s home and in the garage found “a number of stolen items that were linked to recent residential burglaries in the City of Hollister,” according to the statement.
“Among the items recovered were computers, video games and players, jewelry, digital cameras, and video cameras,” it read.

The man was booked into the county jail for driving with no license, possession of stolen property, violation of probation, burglary and criminal conspiracy.
The woman was arrested and booked at the jail for burglary, possession of stolen property, conspiracy, child endangerment, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both suspects also have prior criminal records. Aguirres pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor drug offense in August, according to court records. Perez pleaded guilty to felony assault in April 2007.
