Hollister police released more information about the Monday robbery at Rabobank, including revelations about a third suspect who had been waiting in a getaway car.
Police initially reported there were two suspects involved in the robbery at Rabobank, 491 Tres Pinos Road, that occurred at about 10:50 a.m. Monday. In talking further to witnesses, police learned there was a third suspect who had been waiting in a white, two-door Honda Accord, according to the Hollister Police Department.
The three suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of money. Police reported that two of the three suspects burst through the front door while holding handguns and yelling profanities, telling customers to lie on the floor and demanding money.
“The robbers vaulted over the counter and collected as much cash as they could,” according to a police statement. “The clerks and the customers complied.”
Police noted that the suspects ran out the door to the car waiting in the parking lot.
Authorities described the two suspects who entered the bank as males between 5-foot-9 and 6 feet tall with medium builds. One was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, with the other wearing a gray or white hooded sweatshirt.
The vehicle is described as an older model, white, two-door Honda Accord with a similar plate of 6WK2K3. There was no description of the driver, and the vehicle was last seen speeding away from the area, according to police.
Police issued a “be on the lookout” to area agencies of the suspect and vehicle descriptions. Neither the suspects nor the vehicle have been located.
