
San Benito County residents can finally expect some
sunshine.
According to the National Weather Service in Monterey, area
weather should begin to return to normal after rains fell last week
and on Saturday, dumping 0.05 inches of rain over the weekend and
driving up the year-to-date total to 13.03 inches.

Expect temperatures to reach the high 60s to low 70s with partial sunny skies throughout the week.
NWS forecasters, however, are predicting a slight chance of showers at midweek, but not nearly as powerful as the recent rains.
Today, expect partly sunny skies with temperatures reaching possibly reaching the mid 70s, and today, patchy evening skies with a low of 44.
On Tuesday, area residents can enjoy sunny skies with highs near 70 and lows lingering around 50.
Record amounts of rain fell late Friday and Saturday morning in Northern California with records falling in six places, including downtown San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Santa Rosa, Napa and Kentfield, said NWS forecaster Steve Anderson.
In Santa Rosa, 1.16 inches of rain fell, beating a 1951 record of .55 inches. In downtown San Francisco, 0.56 inches of rain fell, beating a 1950 record of 0.21 inches.
