Both Hollister Little League 9-10 B All-Star teams were victorious in the District 9 9-10 All-Star Tournament Monday night. The National B’s clipped Salinas-American 5-3 at Ferrasci Field, while the American B’s waxed Gambetta 16-8 at Salinas-Atlantic.

The National B’s, coached by Jim Woida, await Wednesday’s Greenfield-Continental loser in a Thursday game to be played at Ferrasci Field at 5:30 p.m. The American B’s play the loser of Wednesday’s Hollister American A-Hartnell game this Saturday at 10 a.m. at Salinas-Atlantic.

Dylan Di Napoli pitched three scoreless innings for the National B’s, relieving Josh Woida.

“Dylan came in and shut the door,” said Jim Woida.

Woida credited Adrian Soto for playing fine second base for Soto and Levi Hester as his top hitters. Soto had a double.

The Hollister American B’s came within a strike of winning a 10-run game in four-innings. Gambetta came up with four runs in the top of the fourth.

Tucker Carrillo-Zazueta went 3-3 with a sac fly for the American B’s. The American B’s scored eight runs in the first inning with Cody Gessell providing a big triple.
