Alfred Guzman

A 79-year-old man suffering from Alzheimer’s remains missing Friday afternoon after leaving his home Friday morning in Morgan Hill, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Department.

The sheriff’s department is asking the public for help in finding Alfred Guzman, who is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing black jeans and a blue sweatshirt and he’s missing his right thumb.

Guzman left his home on the 19600 block of Dougherty Avenue in an unincorporated area of the county in his 1994 teal green GMC truck with the license plate number “4X67167” around 8:45 a.m. Friday morning. Guzman hasn’t driven a car in five years.

Guzman has Alzheimer’s and has no short- or long-term memory, and he did not take his medication today. Sheriff’s believe he’s not carrying money, ID or a cell phone.
