The Anzar High softball team picked up its first win of the season Tuesday when it defeated host Marina 19-10 in non-conference action.

The Hawks are now 1-2 overall on the season. Details from Tuesday’s game were not reported at press time.
Anzar’s win over Marina on Tuesday does avenge a loss from earlier this season, though. The Hawks previously lost by a 8-6 margin to Marina. The team’s other loss on the season came against Gonzales, which topped Anzar 12-2.
The Hawks will get another crack at Gonzales on Thursday, however, when the San Juan Bautista will visit the Spartans for a 4 p.m. contest.
