Behind a 1-under 35 from Will Cross, San Benito carded a team score of 195 and defeated visiting Atwater’s 235 by a comfortable 40 strokes on Tuesday.
The two teams played on the “Old Original 9,” which is made up of holes 1-6, 16, 17 and 18 of the Diablo Course.
Tuesday’s low saw a total of three players all score in the 30s, as both Jared Lantis and Nathan Winn each carded a 39 for San Benito.
Ryan Han’s 40 then followed, while senior Jade Kimura rounded out the team’s scoring with a 42. Tony Ramos also competed, recording a 45 for the Balers.
The Balers’ next meet will come on Thursday, March 17, in the third installment of the TCAL Tournament.
It is expected to be a key meeting for both San Benito and Palma, which currently sit tied in the TCAL standings, each with a first-place and second-place finish this season.
Tee time is 3 p.m. at Ridgemark.
