The Draft 2010 Regional Transportation Plan lays out short- and long-term plans to improve the efficiency of the area’s transportation system, including streets and highways, public transit, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, aviation and commodity movement.
The County of San Benito County Governments held a public hearing March 18 to accept comments and has made the plan documents, including a draft environmental impact report, available for public review and comment through April 12.
The EIR, prepared by the Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments (AMBAG), identifies the environmental impacts associated with the adoption of draft regional transportation plans for San Benito, Santa Cruz and Monterey counties.
The draft plans are available for review on COG’s Web site, www.SanBenitoCOG.org, and at the COG office at 330 Tres Pinos Rd., Suite C-7, in Hollister. More information is available by calling 637-7665.
