Local housing officials last week are sponsored a free, two-day Housing Expo designed to give current and prospective homeowners information that can help them keep or buy a home.

The first day of the event, Thursday, was an all-day foreclosure prevention workshop designed for at-risk homeowners and tenants and was held at the Veterans Memorial Building from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Friday, workshops for prospective home buyers were held. Local nonprofit agencies, government agencies and real estate professionals were on hand throughout the expo.
