Hollister Airmen’s give out scholarships
Hollister Airmen’s Association proudly presented scholarships to
four students at Gavilan College’s Aviation Technology Department
at the Hollister Municipal Airport on May 26. The students are,
from left to right, Jason Jimenez, Derek Roth, Elsie Hartman and
Austin Machado.
A certificate of appreciation from the Hollister Airmen’s
Association and Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1264 was
presented to instructors David Connal and Travis Flippen for many
years of working together for advancing aviation education.

2010 4-H scholarships are handed out
Each year the San Benito County 4-H Council sponsors college scholarships to graduating 4-H high school seniors. The following individuals were selected to receive 4-H Scholarships:
The Georgia Wapple Frazer 4-H Memorial Scholarship of $4,000 was awarded to Darren Coates of Sunnyslope 4-H Club.
The John W. Ricotti 4-H Memorial Scholarship of $1,000 was awarded to Ashley Coates of Sunnyslope 4-H Club.
The 4-H Memorial Scholarship of $1,000 was awarded to Glen Alameda of San Juan 4-H Club.
The recipients were recognized by 4-H Council President Curt Nelson at the San Benito High School Awards Ceremony, held on May 25 and at the Anzar High School Awards Ceremony, held on May 26.
