Resident concerned about weeds along bypass wall

A concerned and frustrated resident e-mailed the Pinnacle about an unsightly collection of weeds near a residential area along the bypass. The resident noted how there were weeds behind the wall of the bypass at the Blackforest Road area.

“They are very unsightly and make our neighborhood look trashy as well as being a fire hazard,” the resident wrote.

The Pinnacle has informed the city public works department of the issue and the resident’s complaint, though a representative could not be reached before press time. Hollister, though, traditionally conducts a weed abatement program each year, but that is done annually in the spring before the fire season heats up.

Check back to see what kind of response the city might have for the issue at Blackforest Drive.
