The Relief Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a worldwide sisterhood “dedicated to helping women build strong faith, happy families, and thriving communities through service and humanitarian efforts.”
The Relief Society is one of the oldest and largest women’s organizations in the world, claiming more than 5.5 million members in more than 170 countries and territories.
“The recipients seemed genuinely touched to be thought of and immediately began using their items,” said Relief Society member Linda McKell. “The children were able to pick out a blanket, gave us big smiles and lots of ‘thank you’s.’ Adults with disabilities also modeled their aprons and enjoyed the interaction. Seniors at the convalescent home were able to choose items to keep them warm and brighten their surroundings.”
