The Anzar Hawks and the Santa Catalina Cougars will square off against each other in the Central Coast Section Division V quarterfinal round on Saturday at Watsonville High School, it was announced on Thursday.

Match time is 3 p.m.

Anzar (16-9), the No. 5 seed, and Santa Catalina (16-10), the No. 4 seed, played two matches in Mission Trail Athletic League play this season, splitting the season series. However, both matches went the full five games.

Saturday’s playoff, in essence, will be the rubber match between the two teams.

The winner of the CCS playoff will advance to Thursday’s semifinal match against the winner between No. 8 Alma Heights (13-8) and No. 1 Castilleja (25-8). That match will take place at Alma Heights High, at either 5:30 or 7:30 p.m.
