Gavilan baseball recorded its fifth straight win, blanking Canada College 8-0 Tuesday on the road.
The Rams scored two in the first and one in the third to build an early 3-0 lead. They added three more in the top of the fifth and scored a run in both the eighth and ninth innings.
Designated hitter Kevin Burley led Gavilan with three RBIs. He was 2 for 4 at the plate and hit a double. Tony Amaral had three hits in five at bats and scored a run, while Sean Allen went 1 for 5 with two RBIs.
Erik Barron was 1 for 4 with an RBI and run scored. Brennan Wilson finished 1 for 3 with an RBI for the Rams.
Gabe Katich got the win on the bump, allowing only two hits and striking out four through seven innings.
The Rams (11-3 overall, 4-0 in conference) look to extend their streak when they face Skyline College at 2 p.m. Thursday in San Bruno.
