“She Loves Me – The Musical” is a musical comedy that’s adapted from the play “Parfumerie,” by Hungarian playwrite Miklos Laszlo, but it’s probably better known by another adaptation, the hit film “You’ve Got Mail,” with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.

The plot revolves around two shop employees who often spar at work, each unaware that they are pen pals who met through lonely-heart personals. The play is widely considered to be one of the most underappreciated musicals ever written, with a score from the composers of “Fiddler on the Roof.”

Jason Mendoza directs the play, which premiered on Broadway in 1963.

Performances are every Friday and Saturday evening through February 28. The doors at Leal open at 6 p.m., with dinner served at 6:30 and performances to follow.

Sean McEachin is producer. Vocal director is Sally Hail and Mike Conley is music director. Nants Foley choreographs.

The cast includes Steve Hodgkinson, Bryn Calderon, Sarah Smith, Richard Puccinelli, Tauyna Rose, Jasper Falmog, Ralph Noe, Dina Silva, Danny Perales, Krystal Stevenson, Natasha Arroyo, Devon Arroyo, Mary Casillas and Nancy Perales.

Tickets for the performance and dinner are $40 each, and are available at Postnet in the Nob Hill Shopping Center in Hollister. Further information is available by calling 801-9841. Leal Vineyards is located at 300 Maranatha Drive, off Fairview Road.
