It appears as though Interim City Manager Steve Julian is the lead candidate to take on the position permanently.

HOLLISTER

A magnitude-3.2 earthquake occurred today with an epicenter about four miles west/northwest of San Juan Bautista and 11 miles west of Hollister.

The minor temblor hit at 8:09 a.m. and was closest to Aromas among nearby cities, as it was three miles southeast of there.

It was the same area as an earthquake Feb. 15, which was a magnitude-3.1 temblor, also three miles southeast of Aromas.

There has been fairly regular earthquake activity in the county for about five weeks, most of it about seven miles south of Tres Pinos.
