Gina Spadafori serves as executive editor of the site and has served on the boards of directors of the Cat Writers Association and the Dog Writers Association of America. Who is likely to use the site: People who have pets and are interested in reading about pets are the ones most likely to visit the site since it is all about pets, all the time.

Pros: The site includes articles that have been published in newspapers around the nation, but the best part of it is the blog that is updated several times a day by the writers and editors. The blog includes postings that range from fanciful to serious. The most recent post last Friday discussed luxury pet products to pamper pooches. Another post from the say day was about an Animal Welfare Commission hearing in San Francisco.

The article search feature makes it easy to find pieces on a variety of pet-related topics. They can searched by category, author, date or species, making it easy to find anything. In addition the site has links to a site called dogcars.com where dog owners can review cars that are the most dog friendly. The site also has a store so that users can purchase books by the contributors to the site, or T-shirts, sweaters and stickers.

Cons: If you don’t have a pet, the site probably won’t hold much interest.
