HOLLISTER
The Watsonville Community Band has scheduled a Hollister concert for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in its 61st annual concert series featuring four performances throughout the Central Coast.
The Hollister visit at the Veterans Memorial Building, like the others, is titled “Bolero” and features a special performance by 9-year-old Sophia Handley, who will sing “Tomorrow” from the hit musical and movie “Annie.”
The Watsonville Band includes a dozen members from the Hollister area, according to a press release from the group.
The concert, conducted by Eugene Smith, is described as having varous musical styles with works from Maurice Ravel, Elgar, Sousa and Gershwin.
There is no charge for admission.
