Two Hollister residents were arrested and charged on suspicion of possessing illegal prescription drugs for sale, marijuana, methamphetamine and paraphernalia, along with child endangerment.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested the two a week ago at a home on the 1000 block of Victoria Street, and authorities handed over two children there, ages 5 and 7, to the county child protective services agency, Lt. Roy Iler said. The two suspects are Leticia Infante (also known as Leticia Villegas), 35, and Adrian Bueno-Molina.
At the residence, authorities found 0.81 grams of marijuana, several methamphetamine pipes, 0.57 grams of meth and surveillance cameras mounted on the house, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies also discovered empty prescription bottles and a false California identification card, Iler said.
The San Benito County District Attorney’s Office this week charged the two suspects alleging seven felony counts.
Three of the counts allege possession of a controlled substance for sale because authorities found Valium, Alprazalam and Lorazapan at the home, according to prosecutors’ complaint. They also are charged on suspicion of possessing meth, less than 28.5 grams of marijuana, possession of an ingestion device and child cruelty.
Both Infante and Bueno-Molina pleaded not guilty to the charges. Each had bail set at $15,000. Infante met her bail obligation and has been released from the San Benito County Jail, while Bueno remains in custody.
