The San Benito County Free Library will celebration National Library Week April 12-18 with a host of events.
The theme is “Unlimited possibilities at the San Benito County Free Library.” The following is the schedule for the week:
CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY OPEN HOUSE- Monday, April 13
2:00-4:00 pm –  “Customer Appreciationcake
3:00-6:00 pm – Children’s Activities, and Parent’s Photo Taking Opportunity
4:00-6:00 pm – Overdrive EBook Launch.  Learn how to download free bestseller and popular EBooks titles on this exciting new library service.
EXPRESS YOURSELF WITH WRITING – Tuesday, April 14
4:00 pm – How to Get Published”- Published author Rachelle Escamilla talks to teen and adults about marketing yourself and the “ins and outs” of the publishing industry.
6:30 pm –“3 Common Mistakes People Make on their Resumes – Is Your Resume Getting thePhone to Ring!Vicki Brackett, career coach and president and CEO of Make It Happen, demonstrates how to “minimize liabilities on your resume” and more.  Bring your current resume and see where you can make improvements on how you market yourself into your next job.
EXPRESS YOURSELF WITH ART – Wednesday, April 15
3:30 pm –Colors!  Colors!  Colors! Experiment and explore colors with artist and educator Christine Tarnai-Hammer.  (Elementary school-age children)
EXPRESS YOURSELF WITH MUSIC – Thursday, April 16
3:30 pm –Zumba for Kids! Dance to great music with easy to follow kid-friendly moves. 
4:30  pm –  Special Surprise!  (Hint, Hint – isn’t the library a wonderful place to express yourself)
MUSIC AND AUTHOR TALKS – Friday, April 17
4:30 pm – “Songs of the Heart – Enjoy a performance by the Oriana Chorale with keyboard accompaniment by Masae Ariki.
5:00 pm – “Imaginary Animal” Author Talk Join us for a special author talk featuring published Poet Rachelle Escamilla, recipient of the Virginia de Arujo Academy of American Poets and Willow Books Literature awards.
