‘3 Stories Tall’

Kirk Ward, a Hollister native who is living and working in Los Angeles, will perform his one-man show “3 Stories Tall” at the El Teatro Campesino Playhouse in San Juan Bautista through June 28. Performances will be Thursday – Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets for Thursday performances are $10 each. Tickets for other shows are $ 15 for adults, seniors and students and $12 for children under 12. Ward has performed the show at the HBO Theatre, The Comedy Central Theatre and The Aspen Comedy Festival. It uses drama and humor to reveal the adversity every young man and woman experiences when taking the path of the unknown. Jeanie Watson art show

Jeanie Watson will have her artwork on display through June 27 at the Galeria Tonantzin, 115 Third St., in San Juan Bautista. She was on hand during the gallery walk June 13, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for the artists’ reception. Watson’s work includes acrylic on canvas and watercolor paintings.

Show at Blak Sage

The work of Bernadine Belaski-McGee, and her late husband Bobby McGee, will be on display at the Blak Sage Gallery throughout June. The Gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The exhibition will include photographs and paintings, as well as jewelry by artist Natasha Bartholomew. ‘Disney Past and Present’

San Benito Stage Company’s Kids Rule Theater Camp will present a free variety show featuring “Disney Past and Present” music and dance numbers. It will be held at 6:30 pm on the lawn at Sacred Heart School, 670 College St.. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and a jacket to stay warm and enjoy the show from Kids Rule actors ages 6-13 years old.

Mikey Bautista Memorial Scholarship car show

Storytelling and indigenous gathering

The 13th annual storytelling and indigenous gathering at Indian Canyon is June 27 from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event will include storytelling from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., with traditional dancers from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Suggested donations are $20 for adults, $10 for students with ID, and $5 for children under 12. Immaculate Conception is hosting a flea market June 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Spaces can be rented for $20 each, plus a 10 percent donation of sales. Downtown movie series

Nacho (Jack Black) grew up in an orphanage and now works as a cook there. But all his life he has dreamed of being a masked wrestler in the lucha libre tradition. He enters a tournament to win the respect of others and to help the children at the orphanage. Starring Ana de la Reguera as Sister Enarnacion and Darius Rose as Chancho. Pancake breakfast

The Hollister United Methodist Church will hold its annual All-you-can-eat pancake breakfast July 3, 4 and 5, from 8 a.m. to noon. Entry for adults is $9 and $6 for kids 12 and under. The meal includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, orange juice and coffee. The breakfast is at the church on Fifth and Monterey Streets in Hollister. Gallery Walk

Featured artist for Gallery Walk Don Heitkotter will be the featured artist at this month’s gallery walk July 11 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The artist’s reception is 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 107 C The Alameda in San Juan Bautista. ‘The Art of Children’s Books’

The Monterey Museum of Art La Mirada presents “Over Rainbows and Down Rabbit Holes: The Art of Children’s Books” July 11 through September 13, 720 Via Mirada in Monterey. The show will feature 70 original illustrations from well-known children’s books. Classics in the exhibition include “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” by Beatrix Potter, “The House at Pooh Corner” by A.A. Milne and illustrated by Earnest Shepard, and more. On July 11, there will be a storybook making activity from noon to 3 p.m. and free admission from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a storybook time every Saturday at 2 p.m. while the show is on display.
