This week’s storm dropped a total of 2.44 inches of rain in Hollister, according to the National Weather Service.
There was a total of 1.08 inches that fell on Tuesday, and another 1.36 inches fell Wednesday at the city corporation yard. That location is the National Weather Service’s only available measurement station, said forecaster Steve Anderson with the weather service’s Monterey office.
With varying terrain, however, comes fluctuating precipitation as well. At higher elevations, “the more rain you’ll likely get,” Anderson noted.
The only measurement for wind in San Benito County was taken at Pinnacles National Monument, where it reached speeds of 52 mph.
