HOLLISTER

A girl escaped uninjured from a crash Monday after the Chevrolet Tahoe she was driving rolled over on Cienega Road about a mile south of Union Road.

The California Highway Patrol officer investigating the crash would not provide the girl’s age or hometown and refused to give his own full name at the scene Monday afternoon. He identified himself as “officer Erickson.”

Erickson said he believes another vehicle might have crossed into oncoming traffic, causing the girl to swerve and lose control of the sport utility vehicle. The officer said the crash remained under investigation Monday afternoon.
