The Free Lance has added a host of new features to its Web site, including interactive puzzles, movies, showtimes, lotto results and ways to submit scrapbook items, calendar items and business profiles online.

Plus, if you’re ever in a tight spot, you can get a hint or two. To play, just go to the Lifestyles menu and select Daily Interactive Crosswords or Daily Interactive Sudoku.

Now, you can check out movie reviews, local showtimes, DVD reviews and a schedule of cultural events online. Just go to the Lifestyles menu and click on Movies. You’ll see a screen like the one pictured below. Then, it’s just a matter of choosing what you want to know.

All you have to do to get into the section is provide us a few details about yourself and submit a photo of you and your partners, if you have any, in front of your business. (Please do not submit your logo.) Just go to the Business menu and select Submit A Business Profile.

Do you have a great community activity coming up that everyone should know about?

We want to know about it!

From music at a local cafe to a fundraiser for the Cub Scouts, we want to know what’s happening around town. You can help us out by providing information about the event and, if possible, a relevant photo. Then, it will get posted online daily and in Tuesday or Friday’s paper, space provided. Just go to the News menu and select Submit A Digest Item.

Want to let people know about your team’s recent softball victory?

We do too, and need your help in getting the final scores and highlights from community sporting events.

To make it easier, we’ve created a sports scores submission form on our website. Just let us know the sport, the date, the score and a few other details and we’ll get your game up on the web and, space permitting, into the paper on Tuesday or Friday.

Just go to the sports menu and select Submit Sports Scores and follow directions.
