Caltrans announced a project to correct a curve on Highway 25 near Pinnacles National Park is set to start Monday. The work is set to last until December.
According to the Caltrans release:
A construction project to correct a curve with a new alignment along a one-mile section of Hwy. 25, about 32 miles south of Hollister, two miles south of Hwy. 146 (Pinnacles National Park East Entrance) will begin Monday, June 8, Caltrans officials announced.
No lane closures are necessary as most of the work will be on the new alignment. Work hours will be Mondays through Thursdays from 6 am to 6 pm. No work on Fridays or weekends.
Motorists can expect a delay not to exceed 10 minutes due to trucks and equipment coming in and out of the existing roadway for stockpiling and off-hauling. Work is scheduled to be complete by the end of December, weather permitting.
The purpose of this project is for curve correction and provide a new, safer alignment for the traveling public. Electronic message signs will be posted to alert motorists of work taking place.
The contractor for this $2 million project is John Madonna Construction of San Luis Obispo.
