The heat wave that toppled record highs throughout South County this weekend is nearly over.

The weather in Hollister will be sunny with a high of 85 degrees later in the afternoon, with a westerly wind at about 10 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

However, there will be patchy early morning fog Tuesday and temperatures will only reach 76 degrees. A westerly wind will be between 11 and 14 mph. Wednesday will remain cool, with a high of 69 degrees and a northwesterly wind of 9 to 18 mph.
